Supposing I wish to run a Boxing Day sale, but the % discounted varies by products based on

- Item #1-#5: Discount of 20%
- Item #6, #7 - no discount
- Item #8 - 50% discount

What''s the best way to implement this? Single discount code eg "BOXINGSALES" or two discount code one "SALE20" and "SALE50"?

Not sure if the single discount code approach will work in VPCart 8.0.

Any thoughts?

Hi Jack,
It depends on a few factors.
Do you want to group some of the products together for discount eg buy any 5 from a group of 10 to qualify?
Do you want them as multibuy discount eg buy 5 of the same product to qualify?
Do you have customer groups that have different prices?
Do you use individual customer discounts?
Do you want to exclude coupons or gift certificates?

Hi Carol, none from your list.

Just a simple discount at product/item level. I looked thru the Discount options in VPCart and it seems there''s no easy way to provide the discounting I wanted.

Hi Jack,

I think you have to do it manually by editing the products individually. Maybe add the particular product to a newly created discount group.

Just my 2 cents...
