To change the font size of category name you can edit templates/default/basic-style.css and locate this class "#flyout1 li a".

#flyout1 li a {
display: inline-block;
visibility: 1;
vertical-align: top;
padding-top:3px;
padding-bottom:3px;
width: 80%
font-size: 15px
}

Edit font-size section with your custom size.
