I''ve installed the modules for Fedex, UPS, and Canada Post but nothing shows up in my vpasp8 test environment.
I can''t figure out why none of them would show. I''m going to try a pure vpasp8 install (instead of the upgrade) to see if it makes a difference |

Hi,
Have you make sure that the weight is already filled correctly? As it needs to be filled on all product records. Some shipping (eg. fedex) use pound and ounce fields for the weight. You need to fill these fields.
Have you also tried accessing the shipping pages directly? As they might show the error message. Fedex would be fedexrtv8.asp, UPS would be upsxmlrealtime.asp, and canada post would be canadapostxml.asp.

Hey g3nnin, thanks for getting back to me. I decided to uninstall all three (canada post, UPS, fedex) and start again....
It helped a lot in narrowing things down. Canada post works like a charm. UPS works (it''s a little hit-and-miss at the moment, but the page completely loads). Fedex is the only one not listing but at least it''s not causing the page to stop loading.
Fedex is giving me a: Security message from Fedex FAILURE Code : 7 rating is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.
I''ve tried both the fedex test url and production url...same result. So far, it appears that the module itself is working (no errors being produced) so I''m leaning towards a configuration problem. I''ll keep the thread updated in case anyone else is having similar problems |

I''ve got matching fedex configurations from our live cart (v7) to our v8 dev area (same domain,separate folder).
Live cart can pull fedex results but the v8 still gets the failure Code:7 I''ll contact Fedex but I can''t see it being an accessibility problem since the same credentials and settings are being used and it works in one scenario but not the other. Not sure if being in a different subdirectory would make a difference (I can''t see them building an api where the account credentials are tied to a specific url)
I wish there was a way I could see the xml output of versions 7 and 8 so I can compare what is being sent to fedex |

@sunshore, make sure you download our latest v8 fedex realtime addon and try again. If you still have issue, please provide us your fedex setting details screenshot e.g. : Account Number Meter Number Key password Merchant Street etc...
Also provide us your product weight info. and shipping address info so that we can try to replicate. You can also submit this into our helpdesk.

Thanks Wilson. The problem is resolved. I wish I could tell you how but I have no idea. I double-checked configurations and they were correct...came in for my next shift and voila, they are there. Wish I had more details to help anyone else who encounters the problem but, sadly, I don''t. I''m going to take my selfish win and run with it :P
