Was trying to restructure some of our site and this error hit me, not I can''t update or add categories. Everything else seems to be working just fine but this has put our updates to a complete stop. Any ideas?

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error ''80040e14''

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not allocate space for object ''dbo.prodcategories''.''ix_pccategories'' in database ''ourdatabase'' because the ''PRIMARY'' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.

it must be and im sure that you have issue with restricted growth in the SQL Server DB. try contacting your hosting guys and asking them to increase the size . perhaps that would be the best solution.

Diego.

Hello,

I have the same problem with a different error. I am currently working on my local machine before I go live.

Everything in the store works great, except categories. I cannot add, edit, or do anything else with the categories.

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.

If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

I find it hard to believe there is an asp issue when the dozens of other asp pages work fine with the database. Have you guys found any bugs with the categories?

Please advise and thanks!

J

Hi there,

@Flunki

How many categories do you have? If more than 300 try going to the online configuration and searching for the xmaxcategories setting.

Increase the default number to one higher than the number of categories you have.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Hello and thank you for the reply.

I have the standard 7 Categories that came in the template:
Office, Living, Dining, Kitchen, Donation, Seating, and Coffee Tables.

I deleted one to see if I could add a new 7th category. I am still getting the same error and cannot edit the existing categories either.

Error:
"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.

If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

Cam,

Thank you for the offer, but the cart is on my local machine for now. I''m trying to get everything designed and populated before I upload it.
If there''s no bug in the coding with regard to the categories section, do you know what else might cause that error (or any error for that matter)?
The rest of the admin section works perfectly with the database and I have done nothing to the files.

Thanks!
