I moved from Access to SQL Server (with SQL Server Management Studio) and it is much better, seemed to go ok except the autonumber fields in Access tables did not convert to identity fields in MS SQL Server. Is there a process for doing this? Any other steps needed?
Thanks! Ed

Hi Ed

You need to use our copy dB tool to do the migration. You cannot use the built in sql migration tool unfortunately as this corrupts the data fields.

You can download this from our download page at:

https://www.vpcart.com/virtprog/vpaspcustomer.htm#addons

Using our tool ensures that you will have no identity issues as the tables are correctly configured.

Please ensure that you follow the instructions carefully and you must check that all custom tables and fields if any exist in your Access dB are added to the creation script first.

Thank you.
