Hello - we have an issue with the One Page Checkout when there is an item with zero price in the cart. We have a couple "free" items which have downloads and we want the customer to check them out as if they were paid and to have the downloads managed with the download subsystem.

This all worked fine in VPASP 7. Now when we try this on VPCart 8 with one page checkout, the credit card or paypal options appear and checkout does not occur even if we enter a card number (invalid amount errror (0.00)) or payment is required if we don''t type a card number.

Hi,

Just tested creating product with zero price, when ordering the product, it will automatically go to shopthanks.asp, so it will skip shopcheckout.asp.

But in case you have zero price and you still go to shopcheckout.asp page, from your store admin panel, you can set "xallowotherpayments" to yes and at "xotherpaymenttypes" you can add your other payment, e.g.:"No Payment Required"

At this time, when you are at shopcheckout.asp page, you should see "No Payment Required", just this and you will redirect to shopthanks.asp.

Thanks Ryo_best - it works a little better after installing the update pack. Thanks for your ideas - it was working in VP7 no problem, so was surprised when it was balky in VP8. For some reason with a 0.00 total the payment options still appear, and they aren''t necessary at all even on One Page Checkout.
