I am being asked to have nice big zoom images on some important products but am worried about what this will look like on a tablet or phone. Is it possible to make the zoom image responsive?

Did you tried to click your product picture in products description Sharon? Seems like you will see new box like pop up, and try to zoom with your fingers.

please make sure you fill zoom image field in your product edit page, no need to click on image, you can just mouse over the thumbnail, and zoomed image will automatically displayed next to thumbnail

Hi, I dont know if you can solve your doubt with this, but I think that img-responsive bootstrap class is to be taken into account.

Take a look to this article.

use this class in css

img{max-width:100%;}

this will makes your images responsive, image width will automatically fit with your screen size
