Hi There:
We put out a flier this past week which offered discount coupons. The one-page checkout isn''t deducting the coupon discount before calculating the taxes.
eg: Product Cost $110.00
GST/HST $5.50
Coupon Discount $-11.00
Total $104.50
This customer gets charged 5% taxes.
The tax should be $110.00 - 11.00=$99.00 X 5% = 4.95 Tax, not $5.50.
One-page checkout does not add in the shipping before calculating the taxes.
eg: Product Cost $40.00
Shipping Cost $10.00
GST/HST $5.20
Total $55.20
This customer is charged 13% taxes.
The tax should be $40.00 + 10.00 = $50.00 X .13 = $6.50 Tax, not $5.20
These worked properly in Version 7.

thank you for your response and screen shots. I am running the latest 8.0.0.8 version so I don''t know why yours is calculating correctly and mine isn''t.
I''ll wait for 8.0.0.9 to come out to see if it corrects the tax error I''m seeing. If not then I''ll put in a support ticket.

We have completed beta.8.00.9.2015.07.08 on yesterday and we are testing it before releasing this week.
Please wait the release of final v8009 soon.

Thank you Wilson. I''ve been checking regularly to see if 8.0.0.9 is available and will continue doing so.
Yesterday I got an order in with "month/17" as the credit card expire date. I''m using v8.0.0.8 One Page Checkout. Guess there needs to be a check for the validity of the expire date.

A customer just called saying the checkout kept telling her she had to a shipping method but none were displayed.
That happened to me back when I first installed version 8. If you don''t select a country but try to finalize the checkout, it should tell you that country and province/state must be selected before shipping options are displayed. In other words, it should check country/province first and list this as the error, then if shipping still isn''t selected then list it as the error.
Would have lost a sale if my customer hadn''t called me.
This is the one-page checkout.

It appears version 8.0.0.9 now adds the shipping before calculating the taxes.
It still isn''t subtracting the coupon discount or any discount entered in the customer files before calculating the taxes. It calculates taxes on the total of the items not total of items less discount.
Also notice one-page checkout country/province and shipping error above has not been corrected.
Not deal-breakers but would be nice if these were fixed.
