I have set:
Xcatmaxcolumns to 3
Xcategoryusetemplate to NO

I only have a single column of categories displayed on shopdisplaycategories.asp

I have closed Chrome, re-opened it, forced refresh

What have I missed?

Hi Sharon,

As VPCart now responsive the Xcatmaxcolumns is now redundant.

Set Xcategoryusetemplate to Yes again and try changing the first line in tmp_category.htm file to:

<div class="categorysummary col-sm-4 col-xs-6" >

This will make it 3 columns.

Thanks Cam, this fact is not mentioned in the content of the 800 User Guide.

4.13.1.1 Changing Column and Sort

Xcatmaxcolumns The number of categories to display across the page.

We are going to be adding this function back into the admin so we did not worry about updating the guide.

Should be in the next release hopefully.

Hello Sharon,

I have updated you in the helpdesk ticket just now.

Please ignore the code <div class="categorysummary col-sm-4 col-xs-6" > now and you can remove it.

In latest v8009, we activated the config xcatmaxcolumns.
You can login to your administration and set config xcatmaxcolumns value to whatever you want for the category columns.
And then refresh your categories page :
shopDisplayCategories.asp
