Our web hosting company is migrating all Windows 2003 websites to Server 2008 in the next few months. I have seen the forum links showing what needs to be performed on the server in order for access to out Microsoft access database to continue. The article suggests that the application pool for the website in IIS needs modifying to allow 32 bit applications to run and hence the Access JET interface to work.
Our hosting company says that they cannot change the application pool to run 32 bit applications as we are using shared servers as this would affect other users of these services. My question is:-

What do we need to do to allow VPASP to run with an access database when you are using shared server technology?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Tony
I would skip Server 2008 completely and try and get onto Win Server 2012 R2 - which I have found runs VPASP 7 very sweetly - and your host can certainly easily enable the 32 bit application pool via IIS on a per domain basis.

Otherwise you might want to consider a new host or a hosted solution from VPASP.

Oh and remember you need ASPJPEG - if you want to resize images when uploading .

Hope this helps
Brad
