Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and/or possibly have a solution for.

At times, we will get an order that is marked as failed but then the money shows up in our paypal account. Upon futher investigation, I see that someone created an order, attempted TWICE to pay by a credit card that we don''t accept (Ppal msg: transaction type not mapped to this host), then attempt again using a Mastercard (which we accept) and was approved by Paypal...and then they made two further attempts (not sure why since it was paid for by Mastercard) using the unaccepted c card again.

So, I have no idea if paypal tells our cart that it failed on the first one and that''s the end of story...or if paypal updated it on each transaction from the five attempts resulting in: fail, fail, success, fail, fail.

Does anyone know if paypal makes multiple connections to the cart with each attempt made? Is there any way I can prevent this? because with the cart saying fail but one of the attempts being approved, it means we received her money and no one knew that she had an order that needed to go out until the customer called us.

Thx

Dustin

are you using paypal payflow pro? if so, try to check xpayflowpro_enable from your admin panel, you need to enable the configuration

We are using payflow (though I don''t know about Pro).
I''m deducing this solely on the cart leading to payflowlink.paypal.com upon checkout.

I don''t see xpayflowpro_enable in our config.

Hi,

To check if you have a free update, I recommend to visit their http://www.vpasp.com/sales/upgrade.asp page.

Hope this helps!
