I wonder if I am falling foul of having too many categories & sub categories.
My dynamically generated page url reads as - http://www.impact-test.co.uk/products/3017-Air-Entrainment-Meter-Type-A/
Yet the breadcrumb trail for this product is actually - Home » Product Categories » Concrete... » Fresh Concrete Testing... » Air Content and Setting Time
Is this not putting the category name in because of the number of categories or some restriction on address length?
Grateful for some advice, thanks. |

According to the User Manual the category name is included.
With SEO Dynamic, it will be rewritten to a more relevant-looking links e.g. : http://yoursite.com/products/3-dining/ http://yoursite.com/products/3-dining/11-classic-wood-dining-table/ Definition: #8213;products#8214; = the products folder (default) #8213;3#8214; = category id #8213;dining#8214; = category name #8213;11#8214; = product id #8213;classic-wood-dining-table#8214; = product name
This is the second problem I have with SEO dynamics not working as per the manual. |

i think their latest SEO does not including category name anymore. i checked my version also not showing category name. but i dont mind because the category name is generated already when clicking on the categories link. i think search engine already can detect the category name , no need to including again product link. maybe this is what their vpasp staff thinking the same ??? just my idea diego. |

Hello,
Sharon,
Our latest SEO does not include the category name anymore in the product page URL.
The purpose is to avoid duplicate content that will result in penalty by search engine like Google.
Example of duplicate content if we include category name in the product links eg.:
http://yoursite.com/catA/productA/ http://yoursite.com/catB/productA/
Those links above are actually only one single content but written as two different URLs which Google will detect as duplicate content.
Hope this helps.
Thanks VPASP ADMIN |

Hi,
Based on the module page (www.vpasp.com/virtprog/seotoolkit.htm), if you bought it in the last 12 months, you could get it for free through helpdesk for the latest version.
Hope this helps! |
