Going to at least ask before we simply gut and replace the admin section in an attempt to correct an ongoing admin log-in issue.

Version 7.01.48 when myself or customer tries to log in to the admin, we get a 500 Internal Server Error and redirected to the following page: shopa_cleanup.asp. Like the database is not there. Using MSSQL database. Our current solution is (using Firefox) to go to History and Remove Current History (4 hours) and then it always works.

Perhaps a session setting? We''ve looked this site over and over to try and find the solutions and even migrated to newer server. Seems to be unique to this site only. Just wondering if anybody has experienced anything similar or may have a solution.

thanks,

Dave Layton

dave, i never experience such error you are having. so i cannot comment more. but one thing for sure. with 500 Internal Server Error, maybe disable friendly error from the server setting and see what line that returning the error.

We are able to read those errors directly on the server but not online and it doesn''t happen all the time. Finally got it. We''ve seen this before like it''s not connecting or recognizing the database. It''s hit and miss for us on getting this.

Page redirect to upon admin sign-in: shopa_cleanup.asp

ADODB.Recordset error ''800a0bb9''
Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.
shopinitapplication.asp, line 91

We''ve reviewed this area with no real solution. I''ve copied line 82 - 92 below from that page.

''700 - 2010.06.13 - Bug Fix: langcommonpage nt able to be loaded if using mysql db
Set rstemp = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
if lcase(session("1db")) <> "yes" then

''701 - 2011.03.15 - Enhancement: Speed up store performance
rstemp.open csql, odbc, 0, 1

end if
