We love the VP-ASP shopping cart, but we're continually having problems with email not going out or not being received. We've put in trouble tickets over the past several months but it still continues. The latest feedback twe got today from a client said she tried to email to the [email protected] email address and got this error: Reason: This server requires PTR for unauthenticated connections.

Does anyone have any suggestions for something that we can try to fix these problems?

Hello Karen,

Our Pollux server is having 'Require PTR DNS entry for unauthenticated connections' enabled in mail server settings which will reject mails from unauthenticated connections which doesn't have proper PTR record.

So could you please check whether the sender's mail server having proper PTR record. Please refer to below links:

We can whitelist your ip address on server side so that it will not be checked for PTR record.
Please let us know for mail server ip which need to be whitelisted.
