I have a web site running VPASP at http://www.ifacs.biz/shopping. We have a very large number of products in the database, over 1,000. It is running using a SQL Express database. We are finding that the shopping cart runs somewhat slow. I am wondering if it is because of the large number of products in the database, or if it just our hosting service or other configuration. Does the amount of products and categories in the database effect the loading time of the pages as users browse our ordering site?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear it is running slowly.

Are you running version 7? If so my advice is to ensure you are running the very latest version of the software as there have been a number of speed enhancements applied.

If you have the very latest version maybe an idea to post a helpdesk ticket so we can review your site to see if there is anything that could be causing the slowdown.
