Hi, a few pre-sales question here...

Our current ISP is in Australia, (our geographic target), but is roughly twice the cost of hosting on VPASP's servers (looking at their packages)

Where do VPASP host their servers? We have a 6.0 VPASP site and are considering upgrade options including changing ISP's.

What are the additional bandwidth charges for either the Gold or Premium packages?

Is it still advisable to host on the same country? (Page load times, SEO etc...)

In addition to there being no information on the VPASP site as to where their servers are, there is also no information about how secure their services are. (My current ISP lists the security measures in place for their facilities... gives a bit of peace of mind as our store turns over $2'000'000 per year)

Thanks, all opinions welcome!

Hi there

Our servers are located in New Jersey on the east coast of the US.

Our servers are configured purely to run ecommerce storefronts. We do not host non stores so security is a prime concern for us.

We run separate firewalled SQL Server database servers to ensure the integrity of your data is safe so even if the web server is somehow hacked they still cannot get to your SQL Server database as it is stored on a different server.

What sort of database is your store running?

With the speeds of todays connection the limitations on actual location has lessened dramatically. In the earlier days it was a much more important consideration as everyone was on dial up.

For the SEO side of things I am not to be honest sure if this impacts on your site or not.

We host sites from all around the world and so far no one has mentioned any issues with SEO however the ground rules for SEO change every day so....

Hope this helps!

Thank you.
