Hi Cam,
They all look good, what i like about the new v7 themes is they seem to display the same in all browsers... something I think the 6.5 themese struggled with.

Hi Rudi,
Thanks for that!
They all validate for W3C as well which is a big improvement.
Thanks Cam

Good looking stuff. My only comment would be that the Header Top Right Container is hard to read in both the base and the watches templates. Apart from that, nice! |

Why are all the templates are only two columns design and not three columns, I think they will look better with three coluns. |

Do the templates include changed product pages / category pages to match the template style? (I mean are there any changes to the actual product & category layouts)
If so, I would be very interested in being able to view those as I believe that is also a big part of which template I would choose to use / purchase.
I do really like the feel/design of the new templates though. |

Hi Lisa and Aiad
Aiad, all of our templates can display in 3 columns. I have set our online demo up as 3 column:
http://www.vpasp.com/demo700/default.asp
Details on how to do this are in the readme that comes with the template.
Lisa, great point. We will be setting up more detailed pages with page views in the coming weeks.
Thanks!

You can also change the template by following these steps:
1. Log into your admin and go to: Website » Layout Manager » Layout Configuration
2. In the template field change the setting to:
default-3cols
Click Continue and view the front of your site.
In the Layout Manager you will now be able to add containers to the right column as well.
Hope this helps
Thanks Cam

Hi Cam, Will the new templates work with Ver 6.50. What will be the Cost of the templates. Did you notice under the watches you have the wrong names.
Thanks Angus1 |

Hi Angus,
Well spotted about the product names!
I have let the designers know.
The templates from #118 onwards are compatible with 7.0 only.
The ones before this are compatible with both 7.0 and 6.50.

I can appreciate the work for the CSS, layout and design for the new version, but as someone who had completely redone V6.5 in CSS (including a pure CSS tabbed content box) and made a lot of customizations, I am finding this upgrade difficult
Is there any free "blank" or neutral template for v7.0? One of the things that I absolutely loved about the VPASP cart was that it was so neutral and had so few images, it only needed a few minor tweaks in the CSS or shop$colors.asp to make it work for someone out of the box.
Am I just having a difficult time with change? |
