VP-CART can also be used for non-shopping sites. The product prices and quantity can be removed and ordering disabled, simply by changing a couple of configuration options. VP-CART facilities can be used to display:
- Information of any sort
- Organized the information in categories and sub categories
- Use the administrative facilities to update the information
- Use the Option Package extended description generation to generated detailed description pages
- Use VP-CART extensive search facilities to search the data
- Use the Shopquery facility to create your own information specific searches.
- Use VP-CART extensive formatting to display your own unique fields and captions for the information.
All this can be done with no programming changes to VP-CART.
