vpcart vpasp authorize net md5 end of life

Just a few days after we've posted our blog regarding the End of Life for Authorize Net MD5, Authorize Net has just posted another important update a few hours ago, that the scheduled date March 28, 2019 has been delayed.

They have confirmed another new date again for this MD5 Hash End of Life:

-----------------------------
MD5 Hash End of Life Moved to June 28, 2019

After reviewing feedback concerning the production cutoff date for the MD5 Hash, we are pushing back the production update from March 14, 2019, to June 28, 2019. We will continue to review feedback and consider further date changes as needed over the next month.

Please check the Authorize.Net Status page for updates and subscribe there for further email notifications. Updates will also be posted in the Merchant and Partner Interface, Support Center, and Developer Community.

For specific details on upgrading to use the SHA-512 hash, please see our support article: MD5 Hash End of Life & Signature Key Replacement.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Authorize.Net

For VPCart merchants that are still using old versions of DPM or SIM, then this would be a great advantage as you will still have a few months to prepare for the update before June 28, 2019.

However, we would suggest you do a quick update to use our Latest Authorize Net gateway before Authorize Net change their mind again about the MD5 Hash End of Life date.
