One of my clients is using v4.5 and just discovered that discounts are calculated after sales tax. That means the customer is paying sales tax on the full amount of the order, instead of on the discounted amount.
Here's an example to illustrate. This is what the shopping cart does:
Order total: 55.60
6% Sales Tax: 3.34
25% Discount: 13.90
--------------------
Total: 45.04
What should happen:
Order total: 55.60
25% Discount: 13.90
(Sub-total: 41.70)
6% Sales Tax: 2.50
--------------------
Total: 44.20
Is there a way to change the shopping cart setup so that it's calculating the correct way?
